It’s with a heavy heart that I announce the resignation of Area 5 Director, Rick Steele. Rick has served the organization as a Board member for over 9 years. He has been a member and supported the organization for over 30 years. We wish him the best in everything and look forward to seeing him at the range.

Per bylaw 6.2, “Should an Area Director's office become vacant, the Board will appoint a committee of three Area Directors within 15 days to nominate an Area Director Candidate. The committee will contact the Section Coordinators of that Area and seek input for a candidate. The committee shall return a nominee or group of nominees to the Board of Directors within 30 days. Any nominee will be subject to approval by the entire board. Candidates for Area Director must fulfill all requirements in Article 6.2, v, vi, vii, viii, and ix.”

Since the position of Area 5 Director is up for election in 2024, the interim director will be in place until the elected Area 5 Director takes over the position no later than January 1, 2025
