USPSA Headquarters
Jul 09, 2024

Release Date: July 9th, 2024

We are pleased to announce the official release of our new classifier stages today, July 9th, 2024.
Any participant who has already shot these stages will have their classifier scores counted in tomorrow's classification run.

"The 24 Series" Results

Following extensive testing of nine potential classifier stages, we are moving forward with six stages that demonstrated significant popularity and effectiveness. The results of our testing phase are as follows:

24-01 "Can You Strong and Weak Hand?"
Total attempts across all divisions: 1,628

24-02 "This is More Better Now"
Total attempts: 853

24-04 "The Thrill of the Bill Drill"
Total attempts: 1,453

24-06 "Surely You Can't Be Serious"
Total attempts: 1,456

24-08 "And Now for Something Completely Different"
Total attempts across all divisions: 1,418

24-09 "Tres Cajas"
Most popular stage
Total attempts: 1,677

While some of these longer field course stages require additional setup time, their popularity among participants is evident.

Stages Under Review

Three stages from the initial nine are currently under review for potential modifications:

24-07 "The Near to Far Drill": Likely to be adjusted for a more balanced near-to-far ratio.
24-03 "One Box at a Time": Under consideration for conversion from two strings to one.
The third stage is still under evaluation.

The six successful stages have been officially designated as classifier stages and are now ready for implementation.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all the clubs that participated in setting up these stages and provided invaluable feedback during the testing phase.
Your contributions have been instrumental in refining and finalizing these new classifier stages.

Stay tuned for further updates on the stages under review and any additional modifications to the classifier program.
