USPSA Headquarters
Nov 17, 2025

November 17, 2025
USPSA is pleased to announce that the 25-Series Classifiers are officially released today and are now active for competition.

Release & Availability

  • The full set of 25-Series classifiers, along with their newly calculated High Hit Factors (HHFs), is now available on the USPSA website and in the USPSA Mobile App.
  • These classifiers will be available in PractiScore as soon as possible, pending their system update.

About the High Hit Factors
The HHFs for this series were developed using the approved Prophecy calculation methodology, as detailed in the USPSA Classifier Committee’s report.

Due to varying score volume across divisions, a tiered statistical approach was used, including:

  • Direct Weibull distribution calculations for divisions with robust data (Open, Carry Optics, Limited Optics).
  • Consolidated division methods for divisions with low participation, ensuring accuracy and consistency across divisions such as Limited, Production, Single Stack, PCC, and Limited-10.
  • Special handling for Revolver, incorporating historical performance data (e.g., reload times and split baselines) to establish reliable HHFs.

These methods ensure that all divisions receive fair and statistically grounded High Hit Factors as the 25-Series moves from provisional to active status.

Classification Impact

  • If you have already shot any 25-Series classifiers during their provisional phase, those scores will count in the next classification run on November 19th, 2025.
  • Classifier scores will be applied in chronological order, based on the match date they were fired.
  • The USPSA Classifier Committee will continue to monitor incoming classifier data and make adjustments as necessary as additional scores accumulate.

Thank You to Our Members!

We appreciate the participation of the shooting community during the provisional period. Your match activity helped build the dataset that allowed these classifiers to enter full competition status.

For divisions that still have limited data (such as Revolver, Limited-10, and Single Stack), we encourage continued participation to support future refinement of HHFs and overall system accuracy.
