The United States Practical Shooting Association is aware of reports regarding an assault that occurred outside a restaurant in San Jose, California on March 8, 2026. USPSA unequivocally condemns acts of violence, harassment, or intimidation of any kind.
USPSA holds its members to a high standard of personal conduct, both on and off the range. Our sport is built on principles of safety, respect, personal responsibility, and sportsmanship. Behavior that undermines those values has no place within our organization or the community we serve.
Any report involving a USPSA member that may violate our bylaws, code of conduct, or organizational standards will be taken seriously and reviewed through the appropriate disciplinary processes. If a member is found to have engaged in conduct that violates these standards, USPSA will take appropriate action, which may include suspension or permanent removal from membership.
While we will allow the appropriate authorities to conduct their investigation, USPSA remains committed to maintaining a safe, respectful environment for our members, competitors, volunteers, and host ranges across the country.
The actions of any individual do not reflect the values of the thousands of responsible competitors who participate in USPSA and Steel Challenge events every year.
USPSA will continue to uphold the integrity of the sport and the standards expected of our membership.
