Evans currently resides in Nampa, Idaho and has been shooting USPSA since 2008.  He received his RO certification in 2010, CRO in 2012, and underwent the Range Master program in 2015.  In 2018 he was recruited to be a Range Master Instructor (RMI).  

Evans is also the Idaho Section Coordinator and his home club is the Idaho Society of Practical Shooters (ID03) in Nampa, ID.  

In addition to USPSA, Evans also competes in rimfire and centerfire Precision Rifle Series club matches.  When not shooting he enjoys hiking, canyoneering, mountain biking, and being the head cheer leader for his wife’s AKC/USDAA dog agility team.  On Dec 31, 2020 Evans retired from the US Forest Service following a 33 year career as a wildland firefighter / fire manager.
